This Privacy Policy describes how Ejderha ("Company", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, retains, and deletes information when you use Yaren (the "Application" or "Service"). It also explains your privacy rights and choices.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Interpretation
Words with initial capital letters have meanings defined below. The definitions apply whether the words appear in singular or plural.

- Account: A unique account created for you to access the Service.
- Application: The Yaren mobile application.

- Device: Any device that can access the Service, such as a smartphone or tablet.
- Personal Data: Information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
- Service Providers: Third parties who process data on our behalf (e.g., subscription infrastructure, analytics).
- User Content: Content you choose to provide to the Service, including WhatsApp chat text, exported chat files, screenshots/images, and any context you type.
- Usage Data: Data collected automatically from your use of the Service (e.g., diagnostic and performance data).

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
Types of Data Collected
1) Data You Provide
- Account and profile data: Your name information (as provided by you) and other information you submit during account creation and profile setup.
- WhatsApp messages and conversation content (User Content): Text you paste, chat exports you upload, and content extracted from screenshots/images you upload for analysis.
- Context and preferences: Any clarifying answers you provide (e.g., relationship context, desired tone of reply, what you want help with).
- Support communications: Information you include when you contact us (e.g., emails and the content of messages).
2) Data Collected Automatically (Usage Data)
Depending on your device and settings, we may collect:
- Device and app information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone.
- Identifiers: device identifiers and app instance identifiers.
- Diagnostics and performance data: crash logs, error reports, performance metrics.
- In-app events: actions taken in the app (e.g., feature usage) to understand performance and improve the Service.
3) Information Collected Through Device Permissions
Yaren may request the following permissions, which you can allow or deny:
- Photos / Media Library: to let you select screenshots or images of conversations (or other images you choose) for analysis.
- Notifications: to send service-related notifications (e.g., account or subscription status, processing status, reminders). We are designed to avoid including sensitive conversation content in notifications.
You can change permissions at any time in your device settings.
How We Use Your Personal Data
We use data to operate Yaren as a relationship communication assistant and to provide the features you request, including conversation analysis and suggested reply drafts.
Specifically, we use information to:
- Provide and maintain the Service (including analyzing the conversation content you submit and generating insights and message drafts).
- Manage your Account, authentication, and access to features.
- Provide subscription features and billing-related functionality, including verifying entitlements.
- Send service communications, including emails and push notifications that are necessary for operation or requested by you.
- Improve and secure the Service, including monitoring performance, preventing abuse, debugging, and quality assurance.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
Legal Bases for Processing (Türkiye)
Where applicable under Turkish data protection rules (including KVKK), we process information based on one or more of the following:
- performance of a contract (providing the Service you requested),
- your consent (e.g., device permissions where required),
- our legitimate interests (e.g., security, fraud prevention, improving stability),
- compliance with legal obligations.
Sharing and Disclosure of Your Personal Data
We do not sell your Personal Data.
We may share information in the following situations:
1) Service Providers
We share information with third-party Service Providers to operate the Service. This may include:
- RevenueCat (subscriptions and in-app purchase infrastructure): processes purchase/transaction metadata and subscription status to manage entitlements.
- Analytics providers: receive app usage events and device/diagnostic information to help us understand performance and improve the Service.
Service Providers are authorized to process data only as needed to provide services to us.
2) Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
3) Legal Requirements and Protection
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to:
- comply with a legal obligation,
- protect and defend our rights or property,
- prevent or investigate wrongdoing in connection with the Service,
- protect the safety of users or the public,
- protect against legal liability.
4) With Your Direction or Consent
We may share information when you ask us to or when you otherwise provide consent for a specific purpose.
International Data Transfers
Our Service Providers and infrastructure may process information on servers located in Türkiye and/or other countries. Where data is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards and secure processing consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Retention of Your Personal Data
We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
- Processed conversation data: retained for 7 days.
- Images (e.g., screenshots) you upload: retained for 7 days.
- Account data: retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service.
- Diagnostics/analytics data: retained for a period appropriate to troubleshooting and improving the Service.
We may retain certain information for longer if required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or for security and fraud-prevention purposes.
Deletion of Your Personal Data
In-app account deletion
You can delete your account from within the Application. When you initiate account deletion:
- we delete or anonymize Personal Data associated with your account within a reasonable period, and
- we apply the retention rules above (including the 7-day retention window for processed conversation data and uploaded images, unless deletion occurs sooner).

What may be retained
We may retain limited information where necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, or to maintain records related to subscriptions and transactions.
Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law and your situation, you may have rights to:
- request access to your Personal Data,
- request correction of inaccurate data,
- request deletion of your data,
- withdraw consent for processing based on consent (for example, by disabling permissions in device settings),
- object to certain processing or request restriction where applicable.

Security of Your Personal Data
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Sensitive Data and User Content
Because Yaren analyzes conversations you provide (including WhatsApp messages) and may process screenshots/images, the content may include sensitive or private information depending on what you upload.
You control what you submit to the Service. Do not upload content you do not want processed for the requested analysis.
Children’s Privacy
Yaren is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided Personal Data to us, contact us at contact@ejderha.app so we can take appropriate steps.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may reference or rely on third-party services (such as subscription and analytics providers). Their processing of information is governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those third parties.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice within the app or by email.
